We are pleased to announce that we will once again host a Book Fair from May 28th- June 4th.
We would also like to invite all students and families to our Pirate Party Afternoon of Fun, after school on Monday 3rd June 3.30 – 6.30pm. There will be pirate fun activities including craft stations where you can make a pirate hat or colour a pirate bookmark, a pirate patch and scar face painting stall, a pirate story time event and the most fun activity of all, a pirate treasure hunt! Students will be provided with a treasure map of our school and will be given a set of instructions to complete as they are finishing their quest. There will also be QR codes to scan for instructions, so if you have a smart phone, ipod or ipad download a QR code reader such as I-nigma for some added treasure hunt fun. Finally, as we are well and truly in the pirate theme, it would be wonderful to see students come dressed as a pirate wearing their favourite pirate top and pants and don’t forget your favourite pet parrot! There will even be a prize for the best dressed pirate.
Book Fair is a wonderful literacy event which is always popular amongst students, parents and teachers and is a great fundraiser for our school. A percentage of the money spent at the Book Fair comes back to us in the form of a commission which is used to buy books and resources for our library and classrooms. Everyone in the family will find wonderful books, novelty items and other exciting products at the fair. Take a look at the brochure for just a sample of the items that will be available!
Fare-the-well Landlubbers. We be seeing you at the Book Fair!
